Lucie Loves... Food // How to make fresh pasta with chef Simone Remoli
As part of Westfield Stratford’s Food Indulgence Festival 2016, I was invited along to meet Pasta Remoli’s Owner and namesake, Chef Simone Remoli, to see how some of his favourite dishes were created from scratch.
I’d never seen fresh pasta being made before, so I was really impressed at how quickly it can be done. Simone used the Kenwood Chef Sense mixer, to mix up his Italian ingredients. The mixer comes with three inclusive attachments (a dough hook, balloon whisk and k-Beater) and Simone also used the pasta roller, which is available separately.
He started off with his Valentine’s Day heart-shaped pasta, followed by Oxtail Agnolotti and Gnocchi with basil pesto. Yum. I’d definitely eat at one of his restaurants again after devouring my plate of steaming, fresh oxtail ravioli.
*my mouth waters just thinking about it!*
Pasta Remoli at Westfield Stratford City is a charming, understated restaurant offering authentic Italian dishes.
As a healthy alternative to fast food, Pasta Remoli allows customers to create their own dishes by choosing their favourite pasta and sauce, and all at very affordable prices.
Pasta Remoli dishes use handpicked ingredients from the best suppliers across Italy – and my goodness! It tastes good!
Owner Chef Simone Remoli, also known as ‘The Master of Fresh Pasta’, will be demonstrating a few easy-to-make dishes during the remainder Indulgence Festival - see below for details.
