Lucie Loves... Food // Mate date with the everyday man at Pizzabuzz, Shoreditch

Every blogger who covers lifestyle or foodie-related topics loves receiving an invite to do a restaurant review.

The email invite from PizzaBuzz, also happened to coincide with my friend John aka The Everyday Man’s trip down to London. Win!

Whenever I get a blog invitation like this, if there’s an opportunity to bring along a +1, I make the most of it. If not, you could literally spend your whole week doing blog-related things and missing out on a social life with your nearest and dearest.

At night PizzaBuzz, located at 2b Worship Street, in east London, transforms into something a little bit more ambient. The lights go down and the music changes. Mate date, hot date or after work drinks, it’s a good choice for any social outing and quite cheap too!

#PizzaBuzz prides itself in serving wood-fired pizza with personality, created with their special blend of flour made with spelt. They can also cater for various dietary requirements, such as Gluten free and vegan/dairy free.

Don’t forget to try the Mamoo ice cream too! It’s very good and comes in a range of flavours from vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, rose, confit of orange and also in a range of milks too.

They also do a thing called #BottomlessBooze, from 2pm weekdays and all day on the weekend. Basically, for just £29.95 per person for 2 whole hours, you can enjoy 1 pizza each (Worship Street Loves or customised with up to 3 toppings) and also a bottomless drink on tap. Choose from beer, red wine, white wine and bubbles. It’s a great idea for people planning a birthday night out with friends without blowing the bank.

Diners can download the flypayapp on their smartphone and, if they wish, order their pizza of choice ahead and collect when it’s ready. PizzaBuzz also delivers and can be ordered via Resto-in, Deliveroo, Just Eat and Jinn.

Check out the PizzaBuzz menu to see their house specials. They do one called The Kick Starter which is a 500 calorie pizza, perfect for people who want a guilt-free pizza session.

You can also build your own pizza… it’s almost like a DIY pizza version of building a Subway sandwich… but the PizzaBuzz team are much smilier and much friendlier.

Would I recommend it?

PizzaBuzz gets a big thumbs up from me. I’d definitely go back with my friends again. The Bottomless Booze option is calling us…
