Lucie Loves... Fashion // End of summer brights and long winter nights
*Sponsored advertorial in collaboration with Hawes & Curtis*
“You should never be afraid of revealing your true colours. After all, what could be more beautiful than who you really are. Sure, to some you may be a mess of muddy dark browns or oil spills greens – but to others, you’ll sparkle like an ocean, you’ll glitter gold like a ring.”
– Beau Taplin // True Colours
You know it’s getting towards winter when you start packing away your summer clothes in favour of trusty tights and jeans.
Not quite wanting to say goodbye to bright summer clothing yet, I chose to style this printed pussy bow shirt, for my collaboration with from Hawes & Curtis. The print reminded me a little of Gucci. What do you think?
Hawes & Curtis was founded by two accomplished outfitters, Ralph Hawes and George Frederick Curtis, who opened the first store at 24 Piccadilly Arcade in February 1913. From the beginning the heritage brand has been acclaimed by aristocracy and Hollywood’s elite. Notable customers have included the Duke of Windsor, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Bing Crosby, Lord Mountbatten, Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire.
I decided to dress it down with my Urban Outfitters black denim dungarees, and Kurt Geiger chocolate brown leather brogues. It looks rather cute!
What I wore…
- Green semi-fitted self design shirt with pussy bow neck tie - c/o Hawes & Curtis
- BDG Dungarees - Urban Outfitters
- Brogues - Kurt Geiger
Take a look at the Executive shirts in their core Womenswear collection and also their smart/casual Pink Label range. They do a rather elegant Boutique Collection too.
