Lucie Loves... Best cakes in Manchester! // Fancy something tasty next time you’re in the Northern Qtr? Visit @teacupandcakes
I recently took my mum with me to visit Teacup on Thomas St. in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It’s a very cute little cafe with fantastic homemade cakes and a delicious array of lunch dishes. I first came here with one of my best mates, Soph - she knows ALL the good places!!
My mum ordered her favourite - a bottle of dandelion and burdock pop, and a fishfinger butty. I went for the poached duck egg with wild mushrooms on sourdough toast and a lovely cafe latte.
We were really spoilt for choice when it came to choosing pudding.
SO. MANY. CAKES!!!
After much deliberation I went for the pistachio cake (it was a close call between that and the red velvet cake) - I LOVE the colour of this cake! It tastes bloomin’ wonderful too. My mum went for one of their ‘specials’ and ordered the profiteroles filled with icecream. They were ALMOST as good as the ones my Nan and Grandad make!! I say almost, of course.
If you fancy checking out Teacup on Thomas St. take a peek at their website here to salivate over the yummy menu.
Cost for lunch for 2 people approximately £25.
