On Thursday night I headed over to Harrods, East Dulwich Deli to be indulged in a little pre-Christmas pampering.

I had my nails done by Frankie from Leighton Denny in a gorgeous shade called Tempt Me from the Leighton Denny range, £11. This would make a great stocking filler.

I was also able to listen to the Leighton Denny marketing lady, Seppi, offer some great advice to a young girl who desperately wanted to stop biting her nails. Seppi treated her with such sensitivity and warmth, she came across as a real asset to the brand.

Next stop on my Thursday night beauty tour was the brow bar. I’ve seriously abused my eyebrows over the years and am pretty damn lucky that I still have what I do, considering that I practically plucked them to death when I was about 15 (see below).I was taken into the expert hands of Tyra from Ziba Beauty. My brows were measured, tidied up and filled in to perfection. I didn’t think I had that much to work with, but it seems all was not lost. I was really pleased with the results.
