Lucie Loves... London // Shoreditch Grind and other favourite London coffee spots .. and a few cheeky cocktails too
Eek! I’ve had this post saved as a draft for months! Whoops… Anyway, I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
Right… I love London, I love coffee, I love cocktails, I love pizza and I love ambiently lit surroundings.
And you know what? I’ve discovered that Shoreditch Grind satisfies all of the above! If you haven’t been, you must go! It’s located just off Old Street roundabout. They do a cracking pizza too!
You’ll notice there’s not actually much coffee action going on in these pics… This is because it’s after hours and James & I decided to grab a few cocktails instead, for our mate date.
My favourite London coffee places include:
- Monmouth Coffee
- Workshop Coffee
- Albion
- Caravan
- Artisan
- Freestate Coffee
- Allpress Espresso Bar
- Milkbar
- Department of Coffee & Social Affairs
- Timberyard
- Shoreditch Grind
- Scotties
- Rapha
- Look Mum No Hands
- Full Stop.
If there’s anywhere that I’ve not mentioned, it means I’ve probably not been yet. Please let me know about it and I’ll add it to my list once I’ve tried a cup!
So what’s happening this weekend in London…
On Saturday, I’m at a blogger event – an Italian brunch Masterclass, with Theo Randall - it’s the second of this sort of event I’ve had the privilege of attending with Theo – read about the first one here.
This particular event is to celebrate the launch of the new brunch menu at his restaurant, Theo’s Simple Italian. This will be followed swiftly by coffee with my mate Pauline, and then I’m off to a friend’s 30th birthday house party* in east London.
*I will need strong willpower… as I’m still off the booze - currently 3 weeks without a single drop – as per my 8 week body transformation requirements!
Then I’ll be spending my Sunday with the lovely James. We’ll be shooting some street style looks for the blog, and catching up over brunch at Dirty Bones, Shoreditch.
Sounds pretty good to me!
