Lucie loves... Fashion // Loafer street style | London Fashion Weekend
September 2015 saw the arrival of London Fashion Weekend – fashion’s biggest pop-up – at Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea.
What is London Fashion Weekend all about? It’s ticketed affair and guarantees you entry to see curated collections from both leading and emerging fashion designers. If you haven’t been to a London Fashion Week show at Somerset House or one its sister venues, #LFWEND offers people a chance to shop (with lots of designers offering heavily discounted prices!) a catwalk show, and a chance to speak to industry experts.
There are also pop-up stalls from the sponsors like Maybelline, Lavazza, M&S, Sunglass Hut, Toni & Guy and Swatch.
I went along with a few of my best friends and decided to shoot their street style looks. It would’ve been a waste not to share photos of them in their sartorial finest.
My friend, mens lifestyle blogger and instagramer James, as always, scrubbed up well in his tailored suit and olive green polo. The autumnal colour of his Cos shirt works wonders for his Italian complexion, and looks great worn under the navy jacket too.
What he wore…
- Tailored suit ~ COS
- Long sleeve polo shirt ~ COS
- Sunglasses ~ Ray-Ban
- George Cox tassel loafer shoes ~ Fred Perry
- Flower pin ~ River Island
- Mary Katrantzou tote bag ~ London Fashion Weekend
If you follow Man Repeller’s blog, you may have spotted her ‘Shoesday Recommendation: The Loafers of the Fall’ post. James’ choice in footwear is on point right now! Tassel loafers are a brilliant addition to any guys autumn/winter wardrobe. A few of my girl friends also own similar styles, which make for perfect office attire. Whether you pair them with a suit, skinny jeans, or even with a pair of tights and a dress/skirt, you’re going to get a lot of wear out of them.
Check out The Everyday Man’s Bond Moments Style Guide post, for more advice on what you should be wearing right now to embrace your inner Daniel Craig. Damn! Bond looks hot in those Tom Ford suits…
I’m looking to feature more mens fashion, with a little help from James and any other handsome chaps that I can persuade to model for me. Get in touch if you’re interested in collaborating with me.
