Lucie Loves... Beach beauty // I’ve got 89 days until I go Greek Island hopping… Yes, I’m counting
I was excited to be asked to put together my very own Travel Supermarket #BeautyandtheBeach2holiday look. It’s the perfect opportunity to share my excitement for sun, sea, sand and simple summer beauty staples with all you lovely people.
Last year, JMG and I spent two weeks on the beautiful island of Skiathos. It was the perfect opportunity to let our hair down, eat delicious food, and enjoy Greek Island life at its very best.
Of course, your holiday hair, nails and makeup should look like it requires little to no effort. Here are a few of my favourite hair and beauty essentials to keep you looking your most beach-goddess-y fabulous-est! (I know that isn’t even a word or phrase, I just needed something that would describe the images I’ve pulled from Pinterest…)
Hair…
I’m never a poker-straight hair kind of girl.
I adore tumbly, tousled, slightly bedraggled looking, wavy holiday hair. If you take just a few little items with in your suitcase make sure it’s a decent conditioner, a pack of hair grips - to create a multitude of styles including this cute pulled-back plaited long-hair-and-a-pony creation above and some sort of surf hair spray - this Bumble + Bumble one gets fab reviews and adds a bit of texture to ‘just-washed’ hair to create a sexy wavy look.

Make up…
How many times have we tried to recreate that 'I’ve just been on holiday look’ at home in the drizzly UK? A good bronzer is one of my make-up day-to-night staples and can really help give your face not only a youthful glow but also some definition - we’re not all born with cut-glass cheekbones…
I like to cut-back on the amount of products I take away with me. After packing a decent moisturiser, cleanser, toner, etc - I insist of a selection of bronze/gold eyeshadows, mascara, a kohl pencil and my liquid eyeliner and also a light dab of bronzer to make my face look at bit more polished. The Avon Multi Stylo has been around for YEARS but it is very very good. I think my Mum and Nan first introduced me to it years back. It’s very affordable too and will last you ages. Finish off with a slick of natural pink lipgloss - it’ll do wonders for your sun-kissed pout.
Nails…
Whether you’re indulging yourself with a spa treatment - a much-needed mani/pedi combination or you’ve decided to save your pennies for cocktails and are going to work DIY wonders on your mits and tootsies, having pretty nails can be a perfect pick-me-up.
I opted for a DIY ocean blue with crackle effect to replicate the cerulean hues often associated with Greece. I can dream…
