Lucie Loves… Fashion // It’s all about statement jackets and animal print sneakers…
As a blogger living in London (or even just visiting) you can’t help but notice the multitude of creative backdrops on offer. Each one perfect for capturing impromptu street style outfit shots. Check out the post I recently wrote around this topic for Urban Outfitters alternative London guide.
I thought the neon backdrop of this shopfront (just off Brick Lane) was perfect for showing off this statement jacket from Antipodium’s SS14 collection.
It’s a grown-up jacket with a rather sassy, don’t-mess-with-me attitude.
It’s the kind of jacket that can be thrown on to smarten up a casual look and sneakers, but would look equally chic worn to the office with a pencil skirt and ankle boots or on a night out over a dress with your best heels.
Whether zipped up or worn undone, the crop of this gorgeous jacket is very flattering. The houndstooth tweed almost looks like it’s been painted on! I met with a designer recently who complimented the unusual material and colour-popping palette.
What I wore…
- Antipodium hot neon pink trading hours jacket
- a basic ASOS jersey bodycon dress
- Levi’s Patty Anne jeans
- Lama Peach Nela jaguar print sneakers
- Danielle Foster Caity black leather rucksack.
