Lucie Loves... Our new London home // An eclectic assortment of joy

September has been a very busy month for JMG and I. We’ve moved house. By this I mean we’ve moved back in together, into a 2 bed flat, after living apart for a year. We could finally get our hands on all of our belongings which had been packed away in storage and create a new place to call home.

I’ve missed them so much, JMG and the belongings.

My lovely friend Laverne asked me to take a few photos of the new house, a ‘before and after’ kind of thing. I was happy to oblige.

You see, I’m a Grand Designs OBSESSIVE. Kevin McCloud would be my ideal dinner party special guest. It’s mine and JMG’s dream to build our own little house, but for the time being a rented pad in London is just going to have to do.

My Home Style Inspiration board and our joint Home Design Pinterest board have been a great way of virtually cutting and pasting our sources of visual inspiration.

Over the years we’ve accumulated a nice assortment of stuff and things. Bits and bobs from our travels, families, friends and from our favourite shops. I’m completely in my comfort zone to be surrounded by my things again after spending the past year living in a my bijou box room.

It’s been great to have friends over for dinner and having a living room with huge sofas to chill out in.
