This was my first ever Cosmo Blog Awards. I’d been shortlisted for Best Lifestyle Blog and was absolutely delighted just to get that far! I got to meet up with this years winners of Best Established Fashion Blog, What Olivia Did aka @LivPurvis, and Best New Fashion Blogger Kim from @LoveCloth. I also had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous @MyDailyLondon sisters, and bright young things @lrfashioninflux and @LilyKitten1.

Earlier on that afternoon, I’d had my hair twirled by Jason Lawrence at Trevor Sorbie, donned my slinkiest party dress and put on my velvet green heels. I wore an extravagantly bejewelled necklace and headed over to OXO2 to show it all off.

The night was a whoosh of blogger frenzy. Fuelled by vodka and cupcakes alone, I met with bloggers old, as in the long-established, ‘I’ve been reading your fabulous blog for years’ sense, and new in the 'Yes, I’m now following you on twitter’ sort of way.

It was a great opportunity to celebrate bloggers from all over the UK, not to mention a few global ones, being recognised for the tour de force that they have now become.

The Cosmo Blog Awards are a way of whittling down the blogger masses and highlighting some of the industries key players. I had several fan-girl moments as I spotted bloggers that I’d followed on my Google reader list for years, strutting their way across the room, impeccably dressed and impossibly beautiful. Along with the lovely Liv, Rosie Glow is one of these girls, and very lovely she is too.

From my photos you can just about make out the signature crowing glory of super-blogger the London Lipgloss. Her vivid turquoise blue hair, bedecked with beautiful blooms was a nostalgic reminder of 2013 summer days gone by.

There was the obligatory blogger photo booth, tasty cocktails, a hair styling station courtesy of Electric, a pop-up nail bar and even an eyelash station. Everything a blogger needs really.
