Lucie Loves… Fashion // Autumn brights

One of my favourite streets in east London has to be Redchurch Street. It’s a stones throw from the hipster hustle and vintage bustle of Brick Lane and just around the corner from one of my favourite London cafes, The Albion.

It’s a little rough around the edges and decorated in fantastic street art, but has real jewels in its crown such as Allpress Espresso, Aesop, Aubin & Wills, Caravan and the beautiful tiled green background of this little outfit shoot - Labour and Wait.

Labour and Wait is a must for any enamel home ware lovers out there. I’m still hankering after their blue-trimmed pie dishes and a gorgeous orange milk pan.

Since becoming a redhead (almost two and a half years ago now) I seem to be drawn mostly to autumnal hues. When I picked up this technicolour-tapestry-coat-of-dreams from the Zara summer sale (a steal at £39.99) I was so excited for the weather to turn a little chilly again so that I could start to wear it. Everywhere.

I’m a bit of a chameleon when it comes to picking out things to wear. One of my friend’s recently exclaimed: “Argh! I see what you do now. You make sure that at least one of the items you wear matches your hair." Well, I suppose I do, subconsciously. It made me laugh.

For this stroll down Redchurch Street, I pulled on a pair of charcoal high-waisted Primark skinny jeans, my patent Dr Martens Clemency boots, this zingy Yellow Slalom Jumper in Cashfeel by PAPER London and wrapped it all up in my Zara coat. To tie the look together I plucked out an olive green and rather capacious, Sophie Hulme tote from my slowly burgeoning handbag collection and off we went.
