Marketing and PR guys… How do you launch a razor? The answer is: host a club night, obvs! Although, you switch the night for day and the booze for fancy smoothies.

I invited by Gillette Venus, to join a handful of other London fitness and lifestyle bloggers, to take part in a fitness class with a difference. I was a bit miffed about the start time, (having to sacrifice my warm bed for the back of car) and be picked up at 7:20am. But it did mean that I didn’t have to get the tube and, being the sort of girl that’s always up for trying new things (read as: making a div of herself) I was keen to see if it was worth it.

I’d heard about these Daybreaker-style morning dance parties. Which are essentially alcohol-free clubs. Where people go for a dance before they start their working day. It sounds a bit mad, doesn’t it? However, when you think about it, when you’re dancing your little socks off on a night out, you do burn quite a few calories – and you feel great from all that dancing with your mates and singing along to your favourite songs.

Gillette Venus had brought on-board Morning Gloryville DJ Caz Coronel to create the soundtrack for our Fabric-based workout, whilst FRAME Rave fitness instructor Gede Foster guided us through a series of moves – some much easier to master than others. It’s fair to say that I was more comfortable with the fact that the room was dark, I didn’t know anyone and fully embraced the solo sober dancing, in the mindset that it was all exercise. Even for someone that is terribly uncoordinated like me, it was very fun! And, to be fair, if you can make cardio fun, and something that you’d want to do with your mates, that immediately breaks down a few barriers to fitness. I’d recommend giving it a go, if there’s one happening near you.

Following the results of a recent study, carried out by Gillette Venus, they found that 75% of women find that bright colours make them feel more motivated and energised. This probably explains why the majority of my athleisure gear (aka my “workout wardrobe”) looks like it’s done a few rounds in the ring with a rainbow; my trainers alone are a multitude of purples, yellows, pinks and oranges.

We left slightly sweaty and laden with goodies, including the new Gillette Venus Snap Cosmo razor, which is available from a majority of retailers, including Boots, priced at £9.99. To launch the Venus Snap Cosmo, Gillette Venus has partnered with PureGym nationwide to offer a FREE day pass to your local PureGym with a purchase of the new Venus Snap Cosmo. (I tried the razor when I got home, and then took it with me on a recent mini break I did to Madrid. The plastic case is pretty handy for keeping it separate from your other toiletries, and the built-in shave gel meant that I didn’t need to pack any other shaving cream.)

The offer is available at 170 PureGym locations nationwide. Unique codes can be found on all stickered Venus Snap Cosmo products nationwide, while stocks last. Unique codes are redeemable until 1st May 2017.
