I’ve lusted after a owning a herringbone merino wool blanket for a long time. It’s been one of those items that, having seen it in a dozen home magazines, I needed in my life.

I love home comforts.

I must confess. I have an obsession with scented candles, printed furnishings and bedding. JMG knows this only too well, but still, I only ever buy them with my own hard-earned wages. I tend to look at Pinterest and pin things to my wishlist board.

I recently attended a Pantone blogger event and one of the brands showing their delightful wares were Country Attire. It was one of those ‘put-your-business-card-in-this-jar-and-you-could-win-a-£100 voucher’ type affairs…

and so I did and I bloomin’ won! Yesss!

After receiving my voucher code by email, I had a good browse on the Country Attire website and spotted lots of really nice Barbour jackets, Hunter wellies and Vivienne Westwood gems that I quite liked. But then I thought long and hard about what I might buy with my voucher that I wouldn’t usually dare spend £100 on. I decided to check out their home accessories section.

And so, the Johnstons merino wool herringbone throw won my heart and now sits cosily on the arm of our green leather sofa.

What do you think? Is there a particular piece that you’d love to get your hands on but are too scared to splash out?
