I was invited to attend the launch of, my good friend and old work colleague, Claire Harcup’s first ever children’s book. It’s called “This is the Kiss.” and is available at Daunt Books in Notting Hill.
This is the sort of children’s book that makes for perfect bedtime reading. Snuggle up with your bairn, and send them off to sleep feeling cosy and loved, with line after line of beautiful words, and stunning illustrations by Gabriel Alborozo.
When studying Visual Communication at Birmingham City University – almost 10 years ago, I had the pleasure of taking on a few modules in children’s book illustration. I loved it so much. The talent on my course was pretty incredible too.
I asked Claire to sign my copy. “Who should I make it out to?” she asked
“Me, of course!” I laughed.
After all, even big kids can still believe in fairy tales.
