Yum! #TriedandTested #Food @murielskitchen Victoria Sponge Cake to #takeaway  #London  When it comes to budget living in London. It’s not about compromise… it’s all about prioritise!

So tonight, I opted for a value ‘ready-meal’ in the form of one Tesco Cottage Pie and an assortment of steamed veg (Under £2).

However! The piece de resistance was the delightful wodge of freshly baked Victorian Sponge cake, oozing with jam, slathered in cream and topped with a big fat strawberry, for £4 from Muriel’s Kitchen in South Kensington, all plated up on my Cath Kitson Tea Rose Striped birthday saucer (Thanks Joe!) with a matching pretty cup full of builders tea.

Indulgent? Perhaps… Worth it? HELL YEAH!

I’ll be going back to try their savoury grub too!
