I love nothing more than an immersive experience. Whether that’s theatre, food, art or play. There’s something about stepping into another world that never fails to make me smile and stir something deep in my soul. There’s something for all the senses.

Last year, I was invited to check out The House of Peroni ’s autumn residency on Brick Lane – if you missed it, take a look at my post

This summer The House of Peroni is back and taking over Proud East’s canal-side home.

I was invited to attend the launch party, and so, with a couple of my best friends in tow – bribed with the promise of great food and cocktails, I headed over to east London to hail a gondola… on the canal in Haggerston, as you do!

So what can you expect to find at The House of Peroni?

Well, an abundance of beautiful, well-dressed creative folk – this place draws quite the crowd. Swoon. Gorgeous cicchetti (small dishes), and an endless supply of both bottled Peroni and Peroni-infused cocktails.

Over the 6-week period running up until 1 July, The House of Peroni at Proud East will play host to a number of immersive events. From masterclasses in negroni, pasta and apperitivo making – to cool cocktail experiences and live DJ sets by Felix Dickinsonand many more, it’s definitely worth checking out.

If you fancy something even more indulgent, don’t forget to sign you and your friends up for their special, pre-bookable, private dining experiencefor £68.90 per person.

“A special pre-bookable private dining experience called IL BANCHETTO (Italian Feast) will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week at the Residency. Guests will be invited to sit together and enjoy a delicious Italian feast created by world-renowned chef, Francesco Mazzei (Chef Patron at Sartoria in Mayfair). The feast is inspired by the family gatherings Francesco grew up with in the southern Italian region of Calabria.

The feast features his ‘Mezzogiorno’ signature cooking style and includes an impressive array of Italian dishes spread across four main food courses: Antipasti, Primi, Secondi and Dolce. A lemon sorbet, prosecco and vodka palette cleanser (Sgroppino) will also be served ahead of the Primi course.”

Don’t forget to check out the terrace area too! We didn’t spot the pizza oven and gelato/Aperol spritz cart until it was nearly time to go home. All in all, a great night. Absolutely love the attention to detail that has gone into this residency. House residents include: Master of Style ~ Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Master of Taste ~ Francesco Mazzei and Master of Mixology ~ Simone Caporale.
