A  couple of weeks ago I received a rather cool email from the peeps at ghd who asked whether I’d be interested in trying to create my own AW13 catwalk hairstyle using the new ghd Style & Protect gift set.

Always up for trying something new, I said yes, and eagerly waited for my PR sample package to arrive.

I’m not really one for crazily coiffeured hair, so I took a peek at ghd's hairstyle article and also their Pinterest. I was particularly inspired by New Neo Grunge which featured great everyday styles.

I washed my hair and then sprayed on a little of the straight and smooth spray before blow drying it roughly using the paddle brush and sectioning clips. I then tried creating a more tousled Chung-esq look with my straighteners, which are also GHD from Urban Retreat’s beautique. To finish I sprayed a little of the ghd Style Final Shine Spray and ruffled it all up with my fingertips.

What do you think?

The ghd Style & Protect gift box is priced at £39.
